I am Dr. Stephen Klinker. I have medical degrees in both the western practice of medicine as well as the eastern philosophy of medicine (Chinese medicine), a dental degree, an accurpressurist license, and a Board certification in Naturopathic medicine. I have been blessed to have traveled throughout the world treating patients from the Himalayans to the Amazon. In virtually every location I find it necessary to have a therapeutic massage to keep my body functioning properly. Escuela de Masaje Sueco is such a place. I came to Tulum knowing I would be taken to my physical limits with intense dive training, and with that, experience extremely fatigued muscles, and complete muscle failure (spasms). Each evening (4 nights) I received treatment from Memo. His training and understanding of the human body and his knowledge of draining lymph systems, facilitating removal of lactic acid from the muscles (sore and cramped muscles), activating the endorphin system, and his overall ability to realign the body was extraordinary! His treatment allowed me to fulfill all of my training exercises, and complete my rigorous training successfully.
I highly recommend to anyone either wanting to be trained, and or needing a truly therapeutic massage to visit Escuela de Masaje Sueco. They are extremely knowledgeable, gifted and talented at what they do. They understand the body and the mechanism to have the body correct itself. They are a real center for healing. It is very rare I find this quality of massage therapist, and even rarer that I give such a high recommendation to such an establishment, however they are truly worthy.
